Retail Store Assistant
£12.21 per hour plus benefits
Reports to: Shop manager

Location: Thirsk Shop
Contract: Permanent
Working hours: Part time 22.5 hours per week

We are seeking a motivated store assistant to join our trading team and act as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK. Your shop will be a community hub where people meet, learn about our work, and see the impact of our efforts. You'll be surrounded by colleagues equally committed to beating cancer.
Responsibilities:
* Providing excellent customer and supporter service.
* Working as part of the shop team to meet sales and fundraising targets.
* Maintaining shop standards, including visual presentation, safeguarding, and health and safety compliance.
* Building relationships within the local community and with Cancer Research UK colleagues.
* Supporting fundraising events to achieve targets.
* Taking keyholder responsibilities (training provided).
* Performing manual handling and physical activities as part of daily duties.
Candidate requirements:
* Understanding of great customer service.
* Experience in a busy customer service environment.
* Ability to manage workload independently.
* Ability to work well in a team.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Flexibility to work on a rota basis, respecting work-life balance.
