We are looking for an outgoing and organised individual to provide a comprehensive secretarial and clerical support to the Sexual Health medical team. This will primarily be booking, rescheduling, cancelling appointments, including waiting list administration, audio typing, drafting and typing correspondence, reports and out-patient clinic typing achieving a high level of accuracy within satisfactory timescales. You will be required to organise and attend meetings producing draft minutes and action trackers for subsequent agreement by the Consultant in Sexual Health.
You will be responsible for organising and maintaining the workflow of the vasectomy administration as well as organizing and scheduling appointments, organising meetings for the wider sexual health team including minute taking. You will also gather and collate statistical data accurately ensuring timescales are met.
To be considered for this role, you should have an SVQ3 or HND in a relevant field, or possess significant secretarial experience in a healthcare setting, including familiarity with medical terminology. Proficiency with the NHS TrakCare application is essential, along with excellent keyboard skills, a minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute, and expertise in audio typing/digital dictation. You should also be well-versed in Microsoft Office applications, with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational, and time management skills are essential. Knowledge of Patient Hub would be advantageous. You should be capable of working both independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
