Newman Event Services is a leading provider of crowd management related services within Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas. In our last 10 years of business, we have worked with Private Educational Facilities, local Council's including Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and West Northamptonshire on various safety, security and crowd management projects and much more

We take pride in supporting any scale projects and staffing needs with equal enthusiasm and dedication to delivering the best possible results.

The Role:

Our new Security Contracts Manager will play a vital role in supporting our mission to become the most customer-focused and trusted security provider.

In this role, you will be dedicated to the management of security contracts. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing clients while ensuring the delivery of exceptional security solutions that safeguard and benefit every customer.

We are seeking someone with a proven track record in security contract management, capable of building partnerships with clients, stakeholders and authorities. You will oversee the day-to-day management of ongoing contracts and take responsibility for securing new long-term opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through the effective planning, delivery, and management of general security and guarding services.

· Grow the number of contracts by identifying and engaging potential clients, overseeing the full onboarding process, and transitioning them into ongoing contract management.

· Prepare detailed quotes and proposals for prospective clients and attend site visits as required. For new venues, conduct multiple visits to ensure a smooth start followed by a minimum of two scheduled visits per month, supplemented by unannounced spot checks at varying times (both daytime and nighttime).

· Provide accurate and timely information to the accounts, operations, and management team internally and to our clients to ensure payroll, invoicing, staffing, and all related processes are completed within required deadlines.

· Ensure risk assessments, health and safety policies and procedures are in place for all sites, with regular reviews carried out within agreed timeframes.

· Oversee projects to ensure they remain within planned budgets and achieve profitability.

· Submit monthly reports to the General Manager, including progress on development plans (personal and team), monthly timesheets and a detailed schedule of work (administration, site/events, hybrid/office days, weekends, etc.).

· Balance time between management duties (site/client visits), administration (office or remote), and billable hours (on-site cover). Billable hours will be monitored, with the first year treated as a trial to establish the right balance.

· Be available on-call as the first point of contact at agreed times, as outlined in your contract.

· Manage staff and employment relations in line with company policies.

· Collaborate with the team on reviewing contracts, recruitment, and rates.

· Attend and actively contribute to management meetings and submit monthly updates to the General Manager.

· Maintain professionalism when representing Newman Events, including adherence to dress code and company standards ("How we do things around here").

· Undertake additional duties as required by the management team.

· Represent the company at networking events and industry functions, supporting or standing in for the General Manager when required.

· Build connections through professional groups and associations.

*The Company reserves the right to vary your duties and responsibilities at any time and from time to time according to the needs of the Company's business.

What We're Looking For:

· Proficient in Microsoft Office.

· Exceptional communicator with excellent written and spoken English.

· Highly organised, detail-oriented and methodical in approach.

· Skilled problem solver with the ability to think logically and adapt quickly in fast-paced environments.

· Full clean driving licence.

· Holds an SIA Door Supervisor Licence.

· Minimum of 3 years' experience within the security industry.

· Flexible approach to working hours and travel are required with this role.

· Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

· Team-oriented with proven capability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.

· Confident, professional and approachable - able to engage effectively with people at all levels and represent the business with integrity.

Additional Information:

The position offers a flexible and hybrid working arrangement; however, all flexibility must be agreed in advance with the General Manager. You will be required to work from our Banbury office at least three days per week, unless otherwise approved.

As our operations run 24/7, this role includes an on-call element. You will be part of a rota, covering one full week in five outside standard office hours, with other weeks covered by the wider team. During your on-call week, you will act as the first point of contact for any urgent issues, handling them directly, offering guidance, or escalating as appropriate.

This job will be contracted as an annualised contract, with the contract being for 2080 hours within a calendar year. You will be required to complete 1920 hours per year (on average 40 hours per week), with the difference in the numbers above being for your annual leave. It will be your responsibility to comply with this, and why you are required to submit a monthly timesheet to the GM at the end of every month.

Annual leave is restricted from mid-May to mid-September, due to operational reasons. Whilst we endeavour to be flexible when authorizing annual leave, we request that limited or no leave is submitted for between these times.
