The Senior Project Manager will act as a trusted advisor and focal point for their specific area of the business. They will support the wider team to ensure that all policies and procedures are followed, confirming, in writing, any deviations from the standard process. Working with the Head of Programmes, they will ensure that all team members can work across any area of business, acting as a mentor and guide for their specific responsibilities to build resilience into the Programme Team.
Role Responsibilities
* Lead the development and implementation of detailed mobilisation/demobilisation plans for all new Mobilisations and demobilisations.
* Lead, mentor and provide guidance to PMO's ensuring they understand their role in the broader Programme Team and Technical Services Support Team (TSST).
* Recruitment, training/development and management of a team of Mobilisation PMO's.
o Regularly engage with internal and external stakeholders to keep them informed on programme progress, addressing concerns proactively and escalating where necessary.
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of programmes.
o Deliver key programme updates, milestones and risk assessments to the Head of Programmes and TSST leadership.
o Identify risks, potential delays and obstacles early in the mobilisation or demobilisation process and implement mitigation strategies.
o Support the Sales and Bidding process by reviewing sales documents, ensuring that key requirements are captured during the development of the mobilisation plan and ensuring risks related to scope or requirements are captured on the Risk Register.
