Bank Registered & Senior Nurses – HMP Bristol
Join Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust as a Bank Registered or Senior Nurse in our HMP Bristol site. The role is flexible and part of the prison service contract.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high quality clinical care within an integrated prison health service, including acute & primary care, long‑term condition management and enhanced assessment.
* Provide specialist interventions for offenders, including mental health, physical health, pharmacy and clinical substance misuse.
* Maintain an effective case‑management service, ensuring continuity of treatment and timely delivery of all clinics and consultations.
* Act as a nurse‑led primary care service, deliver emergency response and first‑night in custody or new registration services.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse at band 5 or 6 (banding discussed at interview based on experience).
* Completed preceptorship training or have minimum 6 months post‑qualification experience for bank work.
* Demonstrated ability to exercise professional autonomy, plan complex care and use evidence‑based nursing practice.
* Strong communication, clinical decision‑making and patient‑focused approach.
