The role
What will you be doing?
Senior Actuarial Manager, Change
Location: Hybrid, Dorking 2 days per week, 1 further day spent in Dorking, Basingstoke or London
Unum UK is looking for a qualified actuary to lead the delivery of strategic change initiatives across our Finance & Underwriting functions. This is a high-impact role where you will provide senior actuarial input and guidance on key projects, particularly within Pricing & Risk.
You will be responsible for managing cross-functional project teams, ensuring robust governance, and communicating outcomes to senior stakeholders. As a senior leader, you will also play a key role in shaping actuarial processes and building strategic relationships across the business.
What will you bring?
Additional Responsibilities:
* Responsible for planning, leading and managing project teams to deliver successful outcomes.
* Communicate key deliverables, risks and outcomes to senior stakeholders and approval committees across the business
* Mentor and coach junior team members as required
What you will bring:
* Strong post-qualification experience and a 2:1 degree or above in a numerate subject
* Expertise across pricing (Group Risk, Individual or General Insurance), reserving methodology and/or assumption setting
* Experience in GLM modelling (preferred), and familiarity with actuarial modelling software
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* A proactive mindset with the ability to drive change and deliver results
