Pinnacle Group is seeking an experienced Caretaker to maintain our buildings and facilities, ensuring they are secure, functional, and compliant with Health & Safety standards.
You will join our Facilities Management team based at schools in Exeter. Your responsibilities include routine maintenance, repairs, security, and cleanliness. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and skilled in problem-solving. If you take pride in high standards and creating safe, welcoming environments, we look forward to your application.
The working hours are Monday - Friday, on a rolling rota with two shift options: 6AM-2PM or 10AM-6PM.

Key responsibilities
* Ensure security of school buildings and grounds through locking, unlocking, patrols, and monitoring.
* Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance as per each school's schedule and your skills.
* Provide access, escort service providers, and liaise for remedial or scheduled maintenance.
* Carry out minor repairs and decoration works.
* Respond to emergencies such as floods or bodily fluids, executing temporary or permanent fixes as per procedures and timelines.
* Check BMS, boilers, hot water, pest inspections, drains, gullies, and plant rooms.
* Perform daily duties like litter picking, bin emptying, sweeping, and toilet cleaning.
Key Requirements
* General handyman skills including DIY, minor plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
* A friendly and approachable personality.
* Ability to liaise with external service providers.
* Ability to work effectively in a team.
