Job description
Our client, a distinguished engineering and maintenance provider, is currently seeking an EC&I Engineer to join their dynamic team in Warrington, specialising in gas projects within the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Reporting to the Lead EC&I Engineer, responsible for the production of EC&I design within engineering projects
2. Managing projects primarily in the UK, with potential involvement in European and international projects
3. Delivering comprehensive EC&I engineering and design covering the project life cycle from concept to commissioning
4. Executing projects of varying complexity and size across sectors including Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Energy, Utilities, Chemicals, Petrochemicals, and Food
5. Ensuring high-quality EC&I design as per project scope and supporting the Lead Engineer in maintaining budget and schedule
6. Participating in internal and external design reviews and presenting designs to the Lead Engineer
7. Coordinating EC&I engineering with other disciplines in a multidisciplinary environment
8. Supporting construction, testing, and commissioning activities post-design where required
Job Requirements:
9. Experience as an EC&I Engineer in multidisciplinary projects within an Engineering/EPCM/EPC environment
10. Strong knowledge of EC&I engineering and design, along with familiarity with other disciplines (Automation, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, and Process)
11. Competence in both Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines, capable of leading related designs
12. Proficiency in using EC&I design tools such as AMTECH and AutoCAD, along with Microsoft Office Packages
13. Relevant qualifications such as MEng, MSc, BSc, or BEng in EC&I Engineering
14. Understanding of current British and International Standards
15. Security Clearance (preferred but not essential)
16. Strong result-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering top-quality designs accepted by the Lead Engineer and satisfying the client
