Job Overview
In Arm's Central Technology group, we are building trail-blazing future technology that will keep Arm-based products redefining the state-of-the-art. We are looking for a dedicated Staff ISP Architect to join the CT-Systems Imaging Team. This team is responsible for the image signal processor, including algorithm design, technology research, and next-generation Arm Multimedia Camera Subsystem architecture for large screen compute, Automotive, and IoT market segments.

Responsibilities
1. Be part of a multimedia-oriented system architecture team, contributing to Arm Multimedia Subsystems.
2. Interact with world-class specialists and architects inside and outside Arm to define camera system requirements based on system needs and constraints.
3. Analyze sophisticated image signal processors, computer vision, and multimedia use cases; translate their compute needs into memory bandwidth, area, and power requirements for heterogeneous system architectures.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional hardware, software, and algorithm teams to develop and propose advanced imaging architecture solutions.
5. Provide clear executive-level presentations based on thorough analysis and data to support decision-making.
6. Contribute to Arm Multimedia Camera Subsystem architecture definition through prototyping, testing, and writing specifications.
Required Skills and Experience
1. Expertise in image processing and camera subsystem architectures (hardware, software, algorithms), understanding real use case dataflows in modern heterogeneous compute platforms, including complex interconnects and memory systems.
2. Experience in analyzing use case decomposition for media and vision applications, including AI compute to optimize data paths and control software, drivers, and APIs.
3. Deep understanding of system design trade-offs such as hardware vs. software partitioning, power, performance, memory bandwidth, latency, and QoS.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across multiple teams under tight schedules with a results-oriented approach.
5. Experience in ASIC RTL design and verification.
6. Proficiency in Python, C++, and SystemVerilog.
Nice to Have Skills and Experience
1. Expertise in AI, system IP such as AMBA protocols, MMU concepts, and MIPI protocols.
2. Knowledge of video compression algorithms and hardware video accelerators.
3. Familiarity with functional safety, quality, and cybersecurity standards like ISO 26262, ISO 21434, IEC 61508.
4. Experience with safety requirements management, DFMEA (HW & SW), FTA, DFA, FMEDA.
5. Knowledge of other programming languages such as Verilog, VHDL, C, and Matlab.
