The Heys School wishes to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative, and passionate Teacher of Computer Science & Business Studies and Head of Personal Development to join our team who will provide excellent teaching and learning across the full age (KS3 and KS4) and ability range.
Role details
Title: Teacher of Computer Science & Business Studies and Head of Personal Development
Hours: Full time, 32.5 hours
Salary: Main scale to Upper scale range plus TLR2a

The role includes teaching within the Computer Science, Business Studies and Technology Faculty and working in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team to plan and lead the personal development programme and PSHE lessons for all year groups across the school year. You will also devise and lead the implementation of a personal development strategy to foster responsible, respectful, and determined students.
Responsibilities
* Provide excellent teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4 and across the full ability range.
* Plan and lead the personal development programme and PSHE lessons for all year groups.
* Devise and implement a personal development strategy to develop responsible, respectful, and determined students.
* Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to support school-wide development initiatives.
* Contribute to safeguarding and promotion of welfare of children and young people.
* Engage with the school’s journey in partnership with The Rowan Learning Trust.
Qualifications and experience
* Open to both experienced teachers and newly qualified teachers seeking their first appointment.
* Creative and forward-thinking with drive and motivation to support development of the department and the school.
* Enhanced DBS checks will be conducted. Post is subject to safer recruitment process.
