You will pay close attention to our processes to maintain our high standards and implement upgrades that further elevate them.
Key job responsibilities
* Demonstrate best practice on using equipment safely and monitor teams to ensure everyone follows the correct processes.
* Track equipment performance through visual checks, condition‑based monitoring, and preventative maintenance tasks, and schedule additional servicing when required.
* Supervise technicians on shift to support their development and act as the first point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
* Solve equipment issues to reduce downtime, enabling operations to process packages as quickly as possible.
* Support continuous improvement of systems and standardise processes across the EU network.
A day in the life
During every shift, you will lead a team to ensure that everyone has the equipment they need and that it runs properly. This involves monitoring processes to guarantee regulatory and policy compliance and ensuring preventative maintenance is carried out to increase equipment uptime. Based on your observations, you will suggest improvements to enhance system efficiency and productivity, then implement those improvements across an EU‑wide function. You will also monitor processes using tools such as SCADA to guarantee performance and work closely with your line manager on administrative tasks.

The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team keeps our equipment performing at its best. We are a technically minded team of excellent players guided by experienced leaders, working together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global fulfillment network. From installing automated packaging systems to overseeing general maintenance and repairing key distribution equipment, we handle most aspects of our technical side. Our focus is on reducing downtime in critical operations so customers receive their orders on time. We often work during early or late hours, including night shifts, to carry out maintenance with minimal disruption.
Basic Qualifications
* A full Engineering apprenticeship and/or a minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subject.
* Relevant experience in a technical leadership role.
* Experience in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
* Experience in automation or material handling equipment environments.
* Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in a multi‑contractor and multi‑site environment.
* Understanding of PLC‑based control systems and statutory compliance requirements.
* Experience using computerised maintenance management systems to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.
* A degree preferably in a technical discipline or operations.
