We are looking for an individual who is looking to expand their knowledge and skills within the Radiology department at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital.
Experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
Applicants are expected to maintain high standards of care for all patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
You will be working within an experienced and supportive team and will have the opportunity to learn new skills and knowledge. Complete training will be provided for the role. We are committed to developing and supporting our nursing workforce and offer in-house training with an excellent induction programme.
Opportunities will be given to attend study days, interventional radiology conferences, sedation study days, including simulation training.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm. Full-time is a 4-day week. No nights, weekends, or on-call shifts.
Main duties of the job
You will work with supervision and guidance to provide and maintain a high standard of care for all patients undergoing various interventional radiological procedures within interventional radiology, CT, and ultrasound, such as angioplasty, embolization, biopsies, and drainage. You will also pre-assess and have a day case facility in radiology to recover our patients.
You will have the opportunity to learn and further develop clinical skills including patient assessment pre- and post-procedure, intra- and post-operative care and recovery, sedation, and patient monitoring. You may also work as a scrub nurse.
You will work within a multidisciplinary team including consultant radiologists, radiographers, and radiographic assistants.

Training and Qualifications
* Qualified as an NMC-registered Nurse
* ESOL Level 2 or equivalent if English is not your first language
* Literacy Level 2 or equivalent
