I have experience or training in a theatre environment, specializing in scrub, anaesthetics, or recovery. I understand infection control, manual handling, and patient safety principles. I can work under pressure, problem-solve, and respond quickly to changes in a dynamic environment. I possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. I pay attention to detail, accuracy, and am committed to safe surgical practice. I have previous orthopaedic experience, which is essential. Responsibilities: I will assist the surgical team by preparing instruments, maintaining sterility, anticipating surgeon needs, and ensuring equipment safety. I will support the anaesthetist in equipment preparation, patient monitoring, airway management, and positioning. I will provide post-operative care, monitoring vital signs, managing pain and nausea, and ensuring patient readiness for discharge. I will adhere to infection prevention and control policies and procedures at all times. I will set up operating theatres according to surgery type and specific patient requirements. I will check all surgical and anaesthetic equipment prior to use and report faults immediately. I will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve safe and efficient surgical lists. I will support and contribute to a positive, respectful, and efficient theatre environment.
