About The Role
We are looking for a charismatic Area Sales Representative for our Local Government Highways Division. This position requires you to sell a wide range of highway products, including road safety products, bollards, winter safety, and water safety.
Our key customers are Local Authorities, traffic management and highways maintenance organizations, and their contractors and consultants. Building long-lasting customer relationships is essential.
The territory covers Warwickshire, West Midlands, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Worcester, Gwent, Powys, Dyfed, and Glamorgan. Ideally, you are located centrally in Warwick, Coventry, Birmingham, Northampton, Banbury, or Milton Keynes.

Main Duties And Responsibilities
* Visit customers face-to-face to demonstrate and present products.
* Plan and prioritize a geographical territory for customer meetings.
* Identify new business opportunities and prospect non-user accounts.
* Follow up on sales leads and arrange meetings.
* Liaise with existing customers and develop new relationships.
* Interpret sales reports, trends, and legislation to identify markets and opportunities.
* Participate in team sales meetings and share knowledge.
* Work with in-house Product Design team to develop new products.
* Visit trade shows and exhibitions to showcase products.
Ideal Candidate Background
* Strong Commercial Awareness.
* Experience in field sales, account management, or business development.
* Familiar with online and face-to-face selling, demonstrations, and presentations.
* Understanding of features and benefits articulation.
* Knowledge of managing large geographical territories.
* Interest in developing a career in account management.
* Self-motivated with goal-oriented attitude.
* Good IT literacy.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Organized with good administrative skills.
* Charismatic and passionate with a stable career background.
* Educational qualification: A-Levels, University Degree, or equivalent (desirable).
* Full, Clean UK driving licence.
