The Hearing Voices Network Dundee is a SCIO which provides a HaVeN for those who hear voices, as well as those in thecommunity who have mental health challenges. The HaVen is a drop-in centre as well as a community café which isbased in the Hilltown offering a variety of groups which are run and supported by volunteers.

What we do

The Hearing Voices Network Dundee seeks to inspire hope for Voice-Hearers, their friends & families. We have adrop-in service which is open to all. No referral is needed to access the services and support that we provide.We offer 1:1 support, advice, volunteering opportunities, befriending, peer2peer, training, group work and havea community café on site. We work closely with other organisation in our community to ensure that we remain upto date and are able provide creative support solutions to our service users and the community around us.

Job Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for the effective management of the HaVeN in Dundee. The organisation providessupport to individuals who hear voices or are living with mental health problems. The job entails workingcollaboratively with staff, volunteers, service users, and stakeholders.

Requirements:

Ideally, the successful candidate will have.

* Degree or relevant professional qualification in a related field, such as social work, psychology, communityLearning & development, mental health.
* Experience in a management or supervisor role, preferablywithin a mental health or third sector organisation.
* Excellent leadership and people management skills,with a track record of successfully leading and motivating teams.
* Excellent financial management andbudgeting skills.
* Knowledge and understanding of mental health issues and how they impact individualsand their families.
* The ability to work flexible, including evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage the day-to-day operations of the organisation, including financial management, human resources, and service delivery.
* Ensure that the organisation's services are person-centred, responsive, and culturally sensitive, and promote service users' rights and dignity.
* Ensure that the organisation's services are delivered in compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements (Health & Safety, Equalities. Data Protection and GDPR, Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
* Lead, motivate, and manage staff and volunteers, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
* Ensure that appropriate staffing levels are maintained, and that staff are provided with training to meet their personal development needs and the needs of the organisation.
* Promoting a culture where teamwork is encouraged, and the energy and creativity of staff and volunteers is valued.
* Implement and manage a professional supervision.
* Prioritise and allocate work based on service delivery requirements and ensure that each member of the staff team is aware of what is required of them.
