The Role: Design Coordinator
The Design Coordinator supports the full design and product development cycle across assigned brands, including G.H. Bass and Karl Lagerfeld. This role plays a key part in coordinating seasonal design development, managing samples, supporting footwear fittings, and maintaining clear communication with international factories and suppliers.
You’ll work closely with design, technical and production teams to ensure products are developed accurately, efficiently, and delivered on schedule. This is an ideal role for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, and eager to grow within a fast-paced footwear business.
What You’ll Be Doing
Design & Product Development Support
• Support seasonal design development across assigned brands.
• Coordinate sample development across departments and external partners, tracking feedback and communicating updates.
• Assist with footwear fitting sessions, accurately documenting fitting comments and liaising with the design team and technical teams to resolve issues.
• Communicate fitting feedback and development updates clearly to overseas factories and suppliers.
• Maintain product development timelines, tracking progress and ensuring milestones are met.
• Keep all product documents, control sheets and development trackers fully up to date.
• Support the preparation of presentations, line sheets and sales materials.
• Maintain and update product catalogues using Adobe InDesign.
Logistics & Administration
• Manage DHL shipments, including packing, shipping and tracking samples from factories and suppliers.
• Manage materials, deliveries and shipment tracking related to sample development.
• Assist in planning travel arrangements to factories and supplier sites.
• Organise and send calendar invites for key meetings.
• Take and distribute clear meeting notes and follow-up actions.
• Ensure supplier invoices are filed correctly and sent to Finance for processing.
• Manage printer supplies, scanning and sending monthly usage reports to Print Support.
• Order essential office supplies and help maintain a tidy, organised office environment.
About You
• Experience in design coordination or product development, ideally within footwear or fashion.
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail when updating documents, timelines and supplier communications.
• Intermediate understanding of footwear construction, fit and materials (or a strong willingness to learn).
• Confident using Adobe software and Microsoft Excel.
• Clear, professional communicator comfortable working with multiple stakeholders.
• Proactive, self-motivated and able to take ownership of tasks.
• Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
