This is a customer facing role requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex technical information clearly to both technical and non technical stakeholders. Ref: 25348 Installation, commissioning, servicing and fault diagnosis of maritime handling systems and associated electrical and control equipment Advanced fault finding on electrical systems, PLC-controlled machinery and variable speed drive systems Modification, debugging and optimisation of PLC programs (primarily Ladder Logic) Configuration, commissioning and troubleshooting of VFDs across multiple manufacturers Interpretation of electrical schematics, control drawings and technical documentation Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance both onshore and offshore Produce detailed service reports, fault reports and technical documentation using MS Office Provide technical support and advice directly to customers on-site Support workshop, documentation and project preparation activities when not deployed Work independently in remote and high-pressure environments, managing faults through to resolution Act as a professional company representative, maintaining strong client relationships and high safety standards Regular UK and international travel with extended periods working away from home The Person: Strong electrically biased background within industrial or marine environments Proven experience with VFD installation, parameterisation and fault diagnosis Extensive PLC experience, particularly with Ladder Logic programming and troubleshooting Strong electrical fault-finding skills on complex electro-mechanical and control systems Good understanding of control panels, MCCs, motors, sensors and safety circuits The successful candidate will be self motivated and capable of working independently in demanding or remote environments. Flexible and willing to travel extensively, including offshore work and time away from home Located in Shropshire, this role would be commutable from Shrewsbury, Telford, Bridgenorth and other surrounding areas.
