Role Summary
The HR Advisor serves as a key point of contact for managers and employees across the business functions providing expert guidance and support across a wide range of HR topics, ensuring compliance with internal policy and employment legislation.
This role serves as a trusted partner to the business, driving culture, promoting best practice and supporting to foster a great place to work in everything they do.
What you'll do:
> Use your knowledge of employment law to ensure best practise across Torque, ensuring managers operate within the bounds of legislation and provide clear and transparent communication to the colleague.
˃ Provide guidance, advice and support line Managers/Supervisors within your area, on;
o Short term absences across sites (including but not limited to, RTW plans, escalation of disciplinary, adjustments plans)
o Family friendly policies: Maternity, Paternity, Shared Parental Leave, Flexible Working etc. (Provide the documentation for all family friendly policies and support managers in meetings with colleagues where necessary)
o Investigations and Disciplinaries for conduct issues (note-taking where necessary)
o Grievances
o Capability issues; performance and attendance (LTS)
o Any other People Related Topic
o Support the HR manager to develop workforce and manager specific capability through training delivery
˃ Working with managers to ensure people issues are resolved in a timely manner with no unnecessary delays
˃ Covering administrative duties in the absence of the HR Administrator
˃ Supporting the wider the HR team with ER issues and providing availability for note taking and supporting with the administration of ER cases ensuring a consistent HR approach across sites.
˃ Support HR Manager in managing workplace adjustments and risk assessments.
˃ Working with hiring managers to deliver end-to-end recruitment processes for salaried employees including internal and external advertising, selection process, offer stage and onboarding:
o Continuously review our resourcing channels to ensure that the advertisement of roles is successful. Including, sourcing and supporting community recruitment opportunities to build brand awareness
o Providing coaching and guidance to managers to ensure recruitment and selection process is legally compliant
o Accurate tracking of salaried applications and shortlisting candidates based on job criteria
o Providing professional response and feedback to candidates at all stages of the process
o Deliver a robust welcome and onboarding experience
o Conduct HR inductions for all new starters
o Ensuring relevant training and documentation is in place before authorising changes to personal details or access to business systems.
o Use recruitment strategies that align with talent and succession plans.

Requirements:
˃ CIPD Level 5 qualified or currently working towards or willing to work towards
˃ +1 years’ experience in HR Advisory role
˃ Driving Licence
˃ Ability to work across multiple locations
