Assistant Facilities Manager – Essex & East London

Cobalt are working with a leading property brand as they look to appoint an Assistant Facilities Manager to support the management of a diverse portfolio across Essex, the surrounding counties, and East London.
This is a brand–new position, ideal for someone looking to step up, broaden their exposure, and build a long–term career within a vibrant, people–focused property business known for investing in its teams.
The Role
You'll be supporting the day–to–day operations of a mixed commercial portfolio, working closely with a Senior FM to ensure sites are safe, compliant, and running smoothly. No two days will be the same, and you'll gain hands–on experience across both hard and soft services.
There will be regular travel across the region, so this role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety and being out on site.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with the delivery of facilities management services across multiple properties
* Supporting compliance, health & safety, and contractor management
* Conducting site inspections and following up on actions
* Building strong relationships with occupiers, suppliers, and internal teams
* Helping to coordinate planned and reactive maintenance
* Providing regular reporting and administrative support to the Senior FM

About You
* Experience in a facilities, property, or building management environment
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* A proactive approach with genuine interest in developing within FM
* Comfortable travelling across Essex and East London
* Full UK driving licence preferred
