I am working with an agile and cutting-edge private healthcare developer and operator that is looking to appoint a Head of Development to lead the delivery of their new-build UK clinic pipeline. Backed by private equity funding, the business is in a strong position to scale rapidly, with a significant pipeline already secured and ambitions to become a market leader in this space.
This is a rare opportunity to take an influential role in the national rollout of highly efficient, standardised healthcare facilities. The projects are new-build, technically complex clinics, with the Head of Development overseeing schemes from early-stage feasibility through to construction and commissioning. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future delivery model as the platform scales, optimising cost, speed, and repeatability.
The Head of Development will take on an autonomous role, leading the development and delivery of the clinic portfolio across multiple UK sites. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external supply chain partners, driving best-in-class outcomes across design, procurement, and execution.
The Role:
* Proven track record delivering full lifecycle healthcare or life sciences developments, from feasibility to handover.
* Lead project design, planning, procurement and construction phases with autonomy and precision.
* Strong commercial acumen with hands-on oversight of programme, cost, risk, and deliverables.
* Build and manage high-performing design and construction teams, including consultants and contractors.
* Engage with local authorities, planning consultants, and key stakeholders to secure permissions and approvals.
* Drive the development and implementation of repeatable, scalable delivery models using modular and standardised design systems.
* Regularly report on financials, risks, and progress to the senior leadership team.
* MRICS qualification preferred but not essential.
Salary circa: £110K + Package + Bonus, with a long-term incentive linked to equity growth.
