For those who may not yet fully meet the criteria, we are also open to offering this role as a developmental post at Band 5. In this case, you will undertake a structured training, academic, and professional development pathway, designed to enable progression to Band 6 within six months upon achieving the necessary competencies. You will collaborate on a tailored training plan and fully engage in the development process to support your growth into the Band 6 role.
Responsibilities
The purpose of this post is to contribute to the dermatology nursing service by being actively involved in the provision of nurse‑led services that have a positive impact on the experience of patients and carers by providing high standards of clinical practice and care.
The post holder will play a senior role in the day‑to‑day management of the dermatology area and the provision of all out‑patients services. The post holder will take an active part in the future development and expansion of nurse‑led services and initiatives to improve the quality of care delivered to patients accessing Dermatology services across the Trust. The role involves providing expert nursing leadership, advice and support to a multi‑professional team on the management of patients with dermatological conditions within primary and secondary care. The post holder will manage junior members of the dermatology nursing team on a shift basis and contribute to staff development and training.
