Job Description
The Job Mission
Your future team seeks a Construction Project Engineer specialising in Mechanical to support major nuclearprojects. You’ll partner closely with project and site teams to ensure mechanical scope delivery meets safety, quality, schedule and budget goals. You’ll engage in technical leadership, documentation and stakeholder coordination.
* Lead mechanical scope delivery aligned to project execution plans.
* Coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams including suppliers and installation contractors.
* Monitor mechanical progress, costs and schedules against project milestones.
* Develop technical specifications in collaboration with construction and commissioning teams.
* Facilitate and chair mechanical‑focused project meetings, ensuring contract compliance.
* Identify and manage mechanical‑related risks and issues, escalating when needed.
* Promote and uphold rigorous health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
My profile
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* Solid experience delivering projects from concept to operation.
* Strong command of project management principles (APM).
* Prior leadership of multi‑disciplinary teams in construction.
* Experience in a highly‑regulated industry.
* Proficient in safety‑critical environments with strong H&S culture.
* Ability to manage budgets, schedules and commercial frameworks.
* Excellent stakeholder communication and reporting skills.
* Skilled in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for project documentation.
* Familiarity with CDM regulations and H&S at Work legislation.
* Prior involvement in procurement and tender processes.
* Knowledge of Quality Assurance systems and governance frameworks.
* Exposure to pre‑operations or commissioning teams.
