Equans is looking for a Mobile Electrical Technician to join our team in Liverpool on a permanent basis for our Knowsley Schools contract. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, a company van, and benefits package.
General Overview:
This role is for a proven HV Authorized 18th Edition qualified Electrical Technician. Supported by a strong operational team, the focus is on developing, maintaining, and improving the electrical systems across the Knowsley Schools PFI estate. The contract involves GSHP, gas boilers, and chillers as means of supply of heat, electricity, and cooling to the buildings.
In particular:
- Demonstrate the ability to maintain plant and equipment to specified standards
- Develop in-depth knowledge of relevant contracts
- Ensure paperwork is complete and up to date
- Close down jobs promptly
Impact:
- Carry out planned maintenance for all contractual obligations
- Perform HV activities including switching and isolations
- Ensure Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) are in place
- Issue relevant working permits
- Conduct repairs, reactive maintenance, and minor installations
- Attend, diagnose, and repair faults with customer care
- Monitor plant proactively for efficiency
- Interrogate operational information systems for fault diagnosis
- Complete documentation diligently
- Perform other duties as required, possibly outside normal hours
- Undertake necessary training to perform duties effectively

Qualifications or Required Experience:
- Qualified HV Authorized Electrician
- 18th Edition certification preferred
- Fault-finding and practical skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong Excel and IT skills
- Driving license required
