Location: Crawley Depot, West Sussex

Salary: £33,924 per annum (plus paid breaks, 33 days holiday including bank/public holidays, discretionary bonus scheme, and additional benefits)
About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to support the day-to-day running of their busy warehouse operation. This role involves leading a team to ensure the smooth, efficient, and safe handling of goods, while maintaining excellent standards of service to meet customer demand.
The successful candidate will be hands-on, proactive, and confident in motivating others to achieve high performance in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate and supervise a team of warehouse operatives to achieve operational targets and maintain a safe, productive working environment.
* Organise and oversee the accurate picking, packing, loading, and dispatch of goods in line with customer expectations.
* Support workload planning, shift allocation, and the training and development of team members.
* Monitor and maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards across all warehouse activities.
* Safe and secure opening or locking up of the site when required.
* Take responsibility for the safety of the team, ensuring all Health & Safety (H&S) procedures are followed at all times.
* Work flexibly — on occasion, you may be required to support other warehouses within the company due to business needs and customer demand (appropriate notice will be given).
Skills & Experience
* Proven work experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor in a warehouse or logistics environment.
* Strong teamwork skills and willingness to participate as a hands-on member of the team.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Good analytical and reasoning skills to support problem-solving and operational improvements.
* Sound knowledge of health & safety practices, manual handling, and hazardous substances.
* Ideally, previous experience using counterbalance and high-reach forklift trucks, powered pallet trucks, and holding a valid forklift licence.
* Full UK driving licence.
