Full-time role available. To be successful in this role, previous activities worker experience is essential as you will be working with non-verbal, wheelchair users with complex needs. You must be a driver and flexible, as there may be some possible weekend/evening work required (with notice).
A night enhancement of £1.50 per hour will apply from 8pm to 7am Monday – Sunday (this does not apply to sleep-ins). A weekend day enhancement of £2.00 per hour will be paid from 7am to 8pm, Saturday and Sunday.
Our service is located in the rural village of Staplehurst, Kent, where we actively involve service users in their local community and participate in a wide range of activities using local resources.
About The Role
As an Activities Worker, you will deliver a variety of engaging social and recreational activities, providing exciting opportunities for our residents. Organising outings and events, your creativity and passion to offer variety and choice will significantly impact the lives of the people we support.
You may help organise large-scale social events, find common interests in smaller groups, or facilitate activities like baking—creativity is key!
About You
No experience in activity work is required, but artistic flair, strong organisational skills, or interest in arranging social activities is essential. Previous experience supporting people with disabilities is advantageous.
