Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a highly visible role where you can truly influence change? Our client is seeking a proactive and driven HR Business Partner to join their team to act as a trusted advisor to a diverse customer base. This hybrid role will see you work closely with the Head of People to deliver both operational excellence and strategic HR initiatives.
This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a commercially focused environment and enjoys balancing complex casework with long-term people projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Expert Advisory: Provide high-quality, proactive advice on a full range of HR matters, ensuring compliance with employment law and varied terms of engagement.
* Employee Relations: Lead on high-level ER cases, including gross misconduct, collective grievances, and complex investigations.
* Organisational Change: Support and advise on change management projects, ensuring smooth transitions and legal compliance.
* Formal Hearings: Act as the lead HR advisor during formal hearings and appeals, including disciplinary and absence panels.
* Policy & Strategy: Contribute to the development of HR/OD policies, ensuring they remain innovative and aligned with current legislation.
* Training & Coaching: Design and deliver workshops to upskill managers on recruitment, selection, and performance management.
What You’ll Bring
* Qualifications: CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) is highly desirable.
* Experience: Proven experience in a fast-paced HR advisory or Business Partnering role. Experience within the Public Sector, Local Authority, or Education is a plus but not essential.
* Technical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex HR data and experience with job evaluations or risk assessments.
* Communication: Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and work collaboratively with representative bodies/unions.
