Environmental Health Officer needed in Honiton Paying £29.62 per hr ref 5299040 Full time hours on a temporary basis Key Responsibilities Undertake inspections of residential and commercial premises to assess compliance with relevant housing and public health legislation. Investigate complaints relating to housing conditions, public health concerns, and environmental health matters. Identify hazards and risks and make appropriate recommendations to secure improvements. Provide advice, guidance, and support to residents, landlords, businesses, and other stakeholders on legislative requirements and best practice. Prepare reports, correspondence, notices, and legal documentation in accordance with statutory requirements. Undertake enforcement action where necessary, including serving notices and supporting legal proceedings. Maintain accurate records and case management systems. Work collaboratively with internal departments, partner agencies, and community organisations to improve health and housing outcomes.
