Are you an experienced or aspiring SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in the Halifax area? We’re currently recruiting for passionate and reliable individuals to support children and young people with special educational needs in a variety of school settings.
The Role:
You’ll be supporting students with additional needs such as Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties. Roles may include one-to-one support, small group work, or in-class assistance, depending on the setting. Flexibility is key, as assignments may vary between mainstream and specialist provisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting pupils with SEN in their learning and social development
Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
Working closely with teachers and other support staff to implement EHCP targets
Creating a safe, positive and inclusive environment for all learners
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school-based or other)
A patient, caring and adaptable approach
Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff
Relevant TA qualification or training is beneficial but not essential
A willingness to work across different year groups and settings
