Overview
The role of the Digital Network & Telecoms Engineer is to provide specialist support for the digital communications infrastructure, with proven skills to analyse complex network issues.

You would be expected to travel across Trust sites; therefore the ability to drive in the UK is essential.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
* Provide specialist advice in relation to network and infrastructure design, configuration and security.
* Support the Senior Network Specialist working with suppliers and local project teams to coordinate technical aspects of network and/or telephony infrastructure projects.
* Manage elements of designated IT projects and take responsibility for their successful implementation.
* Serve as a technical point of reference/subject matter expert for specific areas of the Trust’s network infrastructure; work with suppliers and contractors for the installation and maintenance of new and existing copper, fibre‑optic cable infrastructure, PBX, VoIP and telephony solutions.
* Review and support the Trust Network Monitoring platform, reporting any warnings or serious alerts to the IT Helpdesk, Senior Network Specialist, Infrastructure Manager, Implementation Manager and/or Chief Information Officer as appropriate.
* Support the Senior Network Specialist in the development and documentation of network standard operating and support procedures.
* Operate within the Trust implementation of the ITIL framework of change control, incident and problem management, configuration management, root cause analysis and a process‑oriented workflow.
