Due to a shortage of PGCE applications exacerbated by the pandemic, Secondary Schools are actively seeking recent Drama graduates to fill teaching roles. Our partner school in Oldham (OL2) is currently seeking a recent Drama Graduate to support the delivery of the KS3 curriculum to students with varying abilities. This full-time role offers the opportunity to transition into a paid training program with the school, leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) without the need for a PGCE.
The Role:
* Collaborating with the Head of Department to deliver engaging theoretical and practical lessons to KS3 students.
* While lessons will be pre-planned, there is potential for further responsibilities, including planning and marking.
* Managing student behaviour and ensuring focus on tasks set.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Recent Drama Graduate with a passion for education.
* Previous experience working with children, either professionally or in a voluntary capacity, is desirable.
* Holds a valid DBS certificate or is willing to apply for one.
