Shape the future of radiology in Cranbrook. At East Kootenay Regional Hospital, your expertise as a general radiologist and your compassion will be pivotal in delivering the highest quality diagnostic care to our patients.
Responsibilities
* Use a broad spectrum of modalities and participate in a diverse array of non-vascular interventional procedures.
* Work within our Medical Imaging Department, leveraging innovative technology to enhance diagnostic services.
* Collaborate through our PACS system to ensure a cohesive workflow and immediate access to patient data.
* Utilize facilities such as the Siemens Magnetom Aera 1.5T wide bore MRI and, with the recent SPECT CT upgrade, support echocardiography and nuclear medicine as applicable.
* Engage in teaching and mentorship as part of EKRH’s affiliation with UBC’s Faculty of Medicine, including CME sessions and bedside teaching with residents and medical students year-round.
* Lead and participate in Physician Quality Improvement (PQI) initiatives, supported by Doctors of BC.
* Contribute to a professional environment that prioritizes patient care, education, and collaborative healthcare delivery.
Compensation and Benefits
* Compensation Type: Fee-for-Service. Estimated total remuneration around $600K annually, plus MOCAP level 1.
* Vacation Leave: Flexible scheduling to recharge.
* Relocation Funding: Available up to $9,000 within BC, $12,000 within Canada, and $15,000 for moves from outside Canada.
* Recruitment Incentive: $20,000, prorated for part-time physicians.
* RCME and other benefits: Eligible for RCME funds and Doctors of BC CME support; rural incentives subject to change.
