Job Description
Prime Function:
1. Investigate and assess market conditions and competition to develop effective sales programs.
2. Establish and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers.
3. Update knowledge of special events, conventions, business meetings, and other opportunities that promote sales at Novotel Pune.
4. Design and implement sales strategies for assigned segments to increase sales and revenue.
5. Plan and initiate actions to secure new business.
6. Report any matters affecting the hotel’s interests to Management.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Marketing Planning
1. Assist the sales leadership in developing the Strategic Sales Plan for segments.
2. Achieve objectives outlined in the Organization’s Strategic Plan.
People Management
1. Coordinate with all departments of Novotel Pune for seamless operations.
2. Ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, and guest satisfaction.
3. Build effective relationships across departments.
4. Resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
5. Train staff on safety procedures.
6. Keep personnel informed of department objectives and policies.
7. Motivate and develop the team to ensure smooth functioning and teamwork.
Financial Management
* Use resources cost-effectively and educate the team accordingly.
Operational Management
1. Identify prospects within targeted markets and prepare sales presentations.
2. Report regularly on activity progress, prospects, forecasts, and customer feedback to the Director of Sales.
3. Submit weekly and monthly sales plans and market analyses, along with daily activity reports.
4. Contribute to increasing business volume.
5. Set annual sales goals, develop plans, monitor progress, and adjust as needed.
Qualifications
* 3-4 years of previous sales experience in the Hospitality Sector.
* Good knowledge of the Pune Market.
