Following an organisational change within the pharmacy department, an exciting opportunity has become available. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to lead the cancer pharmacy team within NUH. The role covers Oncology, Haematology, Immunology and Dermatology within the ORCHIDS Directorate.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the clinical pharmacy service within the Directorate.
* Line‑manage the team of Advanced Pharmacy Practitioners, Specialist Clinical Pharmacists, medicines management technicians and assistants.
* Provide expert, patient‑facing clinical pharmacy services within the Directorate, acting as a clinical role model.
* Support the Directorate with all matters relating to medicines governance and safety.
* Develop and deliver high quality pharmaceutical care, continuously improving service quality.
* Support specialist pharmacists in delivering the best possible service within the ORCHIDS directorate.
* Develop collaborative working relationships with colleagues regionally and nationally.
* Deliver education, training and development to the pharmacy team, promoting a learning culture.
* Use research to inform practice and undertake relevant research projects.
* Participate in the 7‑day shifted rota, bank holidays duties and general clinical pharmacy duties.
* Primary work site is City Hospital campus but will travel to Queens Medical Centre campus as required.
Application requirements
Applicants must be registered pharmacists with the General Pharmaceutical Council and have relevant experience in oncology pharmacy. We particularly welcome applications from people who identify as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic, or Disabled.
