Overview
Role is hybrid with circa 3 days per week in Leamington Spa office. As part of ambitious growth plans across their UK & US offices, this is a great opportunity to join a PE backed team of Procurement Management Specialists that deliver auditable and sustainable cost base reduction to clients in a variety of industries.
This role is ideal for someone with 1-3 years procurement experience, seeking a progressive and varied procurement career. It could be a graduate who has competed a 1-year procurement work placement as part of their degree who is looking for their first full-time role or someone with a couple of years procurement experience looking for their next career step.
The role will provide you with the opportunity to work with some of the UK\'s biggest brands across multiple different industries and categories and give you exposure to a variety of exciting large scale procurement transformation programmes.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse data to create category management approaches that deliver measurable savings
* Develop procurement approach strategies to secure agreement to proposed solutions
* Create and manage tenders/auctions from start to finish
* Develop negotiation strategies and undertake negotiations to deliver best commercial results
* Interpret and present tender/auction/negotiations results to key stakeholders to support decision making
* Use of leading-edge tools, technologies and processes to deliver rapid cost savings and improvements in performance
* Sourcing suppliers from the UK and Worldwide to meet needs
* Deliver projects within agreed timescales
* Continuous review of client spend data to identify and negotiate quick wins
Skills & Experience
* 1-3 years’ procurement experience
* Strong academic (graduate) background
* Excellent analytical skills
* Competent Excel user with the ability to learn new systems quickly
* Keen commercial business sense
* Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
* Good organisational and time-management skills
* Good negotiation skills and natural persuasion
* Some understanding of supply chain and procurement practices
