Honeycomb is delighted to be working with the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service to recruit for a Temporary member of their Administration Team in their offices in Lisburn.
The Client - The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service sitting within a modern site in Lisburn with extensive investment in their facilities and staff.
The Role
1. Provide general administrative support within a fast-paced public body setting.
2. Answer telephone calls and handle enquiries in a professional and courteous manner
3. Schedule appointments and manage staff diaries
4. Input and maintain accurate data on internal systems
5. Draft and process correspondence including letters, reports, and meeting minutes
6. Organise and maintain filing systems, both electronic and paper-based
7. Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve queries
8. Perform photocopying, scanning, mail handling, and other routine office duties
9. Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in all administrative tasks
10. Initial duration of the role is 3 months with potential for extension
The Person - Essential Criteria:
11. Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in an administrative or clerical role
12. 5 x GCSE English and Maths or equivalent qualification *please note that education certificates are required for proof of this criteria.
13. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to quickly learn new systems and maintain accurate digital records
14. Strong communication and organisational skills
