The Wellcome Practice is looking for two enthusiastic Receptionists with excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills to join our reception team.
Main duties of the job
Applicants will need to work both on a busy reception desk dealing with patients over the telephone and face to face, booking and cancelling appointments, guiding patients to use the online consultation tool, and also work at the back of reception performing administration tasks, dealing with prescription requests, and assisting the triaging doctor with online consultations.
Previous reception and/or customer service skills and knowledge of Emis Web are desirable, but full training will be given.

HOURS: Working Pattern - Shift 1: 15.25 hours per week - Tuesday 8am to 6.30pm and Wednesday 8am to 1.15pm. Shift 2: 10 hours per week - Monday 1.30pm to 6.30pm and Tuesday 8am to 1.15pm.
Job summary:
The role aims to offer general assistance to the practice reception team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and visitors, either in person or via telephone. It involves receiving, assisting, and directing patients to appropriate services or healthcare professionals courteously and efficiently. The role includes undertaking administrative duties to support the smooth running of the reception team, including clerical support to clinical staff, triaging, and other tasks.
Facilitating effective communication between patients, healthcare team members, secondary care, and other agencies is also essential.
Duties and responsibilities
The duties may include opening/closing the practice, maintaining the appointment system, processing requests, handling messages, completing admin tasks, managing prescriptions, data entry, and maintaining the reception area.
