As Head of Paid Media, your role is to drive growth across key areas of the business by deploying and scaling ad spend to generate a profitable ROI. You’ll lead all Paid Media activity; across Teemill Stores, Teemill Platforms (B2B Signups and Integrations), Custom and Own Brands (Rapanui & Shirtbox), defining, leading and communicating the strategy including international expansion to all stakeholders.
You’ll directly manage the Paid Media team, overseeing and executing paid advertising across all digital channels that drive revenue and provide leads for the business ensuring paid media performance is driving a profitable ROI/CPA whilst facilitating annual growth targets.
You’ll be responsible for identifying new opportunities for growth, streamlining processes, and ways of working more efficiently to ensure growth is achieved, whilst ensuring the paid media team have what they need to work effectively and facilitate the removal of barriers that might hinder success. Responsibilities
* Leading the Paid Media function across Teemill Stores, Teemill Platforms (B2B Signups and Integrations), Custom and Own Brand (Rapanui & Shirtbox). Defining and managing the strategic direction for Paid Media Owning and growing £6m+ annual media budget across multiple verticals
* Responsible for driving results on or above target (whether ROI/CPA) whilst delivering forecasted revenue
* Reporting on advertising performance and developments to senior stakeholders, including the board of directors
* Owning the end-to-end delivery of paid media, developing approach and processes for strategy across new and existing channel and ensuring cross-functional alignment, working with other departments and marketing functions (including working closely with creative, content, CRM and dev teams)
* Ensure marketing attribution data is actionable, allowing for accurate reporting on profitability of paid media spend
* Nurturing, training and growing a team of paid media executives and managers, developing a culture of learning and high quality account management
* Ensuring the approach remains best in class, maintaining strong relationships with key media providers and keeping a finger on the pulse of the latest industry developments
* Engaging in high-level management and leadership discussions to help shape the business and people strategies for Teemill
* Ensure the paid media team have what they need to work effectively and facilitate the removal of barriers that might hinder success
* Contribute to budget setting across key channels of the business to ensure profitable growth
Qualifications
* University degree 2:1 or above in Business/Marketing or related field
* Proven leadership experience driving paid media strategy that delivers profitable growth across multiple brands or markets.
* Ability to define and lead the overall paid acquisition strategy, ensuring campaigns support wider business objectives and financial targets.
* Ensure we're embracing and leveraging AI strategically to embed best practice into the system
* Deep commercial understanding of how paid media contributes to revenue growth, customer acquisition, and long-term profitability.
* Experience managing significant media budgets and ensuring efficient allocation across platforms, campaigns, and growth opportunities.
* Ability to identify and develop new paid media opportunities, channels, and audience strategies that unlock scalable growth.
* Strong strategic understanding of marketing attribution, measurement frameworks, and performance reporting.
* Experience building and managing high-performing paid media teams, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
* Ability to establish scalable campaign frameworks, processes, and best practices that improve efficiency and performance across the organisation.
* Strong cross-functional leadership, working closely with creative, CRM, and marketing teams to maximise marketing impact.
* Confident presenting performance insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
* Ability to connect paid media strategy with wider customer lifecycle marketing, including retention, frequency, and lifetime value.
* Forward-thinking mindset, staying ahead of platform changes, privacy shifts, and emerging advertising technologies, and being pro-active in suggesting and leveraging new technologies that provide growth opportunities or efficiencies.
* Solid understanding of wider ecommerce principes, and able to work with the wider marketing team to drive profitable performance beyond just paid media.
Experience
* 7+ years experience in Paid Media with 3+ years experience of managing teams and owning strategies.
* Experience working with 7-figure annual budgets.
* Substantial experience developing strategies and working with paid channels including Google, Microsoft, Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest. Programmatic, Amazon, Influencer and offline channel experience is a bonus.
* A breadth of experience working across both B2B and B2C businesses.
* Proven experience of scaling high-growth businesses and entering new markets with cross-border or multi-lingual campaigns.
