The Mechanical Supervisor is a key role within the Maintenance team, supporting the safe operation of assets, plant productivity, and reliability. As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
Report directly to the Maintenance Manager and oversee Mechanical Maintenance Technicians and Mechanical Shift Maintenance Technicians.
The role involves overseeing all mechanical maintenance tasks, ensuring safety standards, and compliance with site and industry regulations to operate as a top-tier COMAH Site.
You will work closely with operations to meet customer quality requirements related to ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001, and cGMP, including cross-contamination prevention.
Responsibilities include:
1. Taking full responsibility for all Mechanical Maintenance activities, ensuring tasks are completed safely and promptly.
2. Collaborating with the Planning & Scheduling team and Site Engineers to increase plant reliability.
3. Managing the Mechanical Maintenance team, including work allocation, reviewing work packs, and ensuring RAMS are adequate.
4. Monitoring work progress, closing work orders in the CMMS system, and managing team timekeeping and holidays.
5. Developing job packs, RAMS, and schedules in partnership with the Maintenance Planner.
6. Contributing to root cause analyses and continuous improvement activities.
7. Ensuring SHEQ standards are maintained, promoting a positive safety culture, and reporting incidents.
8. Supervising external OEM contractors and supporting projects and changeovers.
This role emphasizes safety, quality, equipment reliability, and team management to ensure effective maintenance operations.
