Are you ready to take the next step in your leadership journey? BestStart Huntsbury is looking for a passionate centre manager to guide our close-knit team and inspire learning through love and adventure.

About us

Nestled at the foot of Huntsbury Hill by the Ōpāwaho river, our purpose-built centre sits on the historic site of St Anne’s Church. We’re surrounded by schools, parks, cafés and a nearby retirement village – perfect for regular excursions with our tamariki. Our philosophy draws on RIE and Pikler approaches, valuing each child’s unique interests, strengths, and pace of learning.

We’re proud to be progressive leaders in ECE and to recognise the impact of our teachers and leaders. We offer:

* Full Pay Parity – opted in and committed to supporting your value
* Access to Whare Ako, our online learning platform
* Coaching, mentoring and leadership development
* Fully funded teacher certification
* Independent centre manager programme for extra autonomy and rewards
* Health and wellbeing benefits, including subsidised Southern Cross health insurance, flu jabs, EAP counselling, and extra long-service leave.

About the role

You’ll lead with passion, ensuring excellent outcomes for children and smooth daily operations. You’ll thrive on building strong relationships with whānau, staff and the wider community.

What you’ll bring

* B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher certification
* Strong knowledge of child-led curriculum and ECE regulations
