Closing date for this vacancy is: Wednesday 7 June 2025 Summary of the role Are you a people-person with a passion for making a difference? Ready to take the lead in building vibrant community connections that change lives? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Community Fundraiser to join our dynamic team and help power the life-changing work we do. This isn’t just a desk job – it’s a chance to get out there, connect with people, and bring our mission to life in the heart of the community. You’ll be the friendly face of Roundabout across South Yorkshire – inspiring schools, faith groups, sports teams, local clubs and small businesses to get involved, give back, and fundraise in creative ways. Whether you're rallying volunteers, hosting stalls at events, giving talks, or dreaming up bold new fundraising ideas, you’ll be at the centre of the action. You’ll also play a key role in looking after our amazing individual donors – building lasting relationships and designing engaging campaigns that keep them inspired and connected. This role is perfect for someone who’s confident, proactive, and loves variety. You’ll manage your own admin, use our supporter database, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You’ll need to be flexible, ready to work evenings and weekends, and have access to your own car to travel across the region. If you’re ready to bring energy, ideas, and heart to a role where your work truly matters – we’d love to hear from you! Key Accountabilities Drive community fundraising magic - Help shape and deliver exciting fundraising strategies to grow income and meet annual targets, KPIs, and budgets. Be the friendly face of Roundabout – build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with schools, community groups, local businesses and amazing volunteers who want to help us make a difference. Support and celebrate our fantastic fundraisers – from bake sales to events, you'll be their go-to person, offering guidance, encouragement and cheerleading all the way! Shout about what we do - Promote our events and campaigns with energy and flair – whether it's face-to-face, over email, or on social media. Get out and about - Attend cheque presentations, give inspiring talks, visit schools and community groups (requires the occasional evening or weekend adventure). Champion creativity – dream up new fundraising ideas (like online raffles or local challenges), and help make them happen. Power up our supporter journey – manage sign-ups, track donations, keep our CRM system updated, and ensure every fundraiser has a great experience from start to finish. Rally the troops - Recruit and coordinate volunteers, making sure they’re happy, prepared and having fun at events. Work with our marketing team – support them to create exciting materials, share supporter stories, and bring campaigns to life both online and in the community. Celebrate success and learn as you go – track performance, analyse results and write up reports, helping us to keep improving how we fundraise. Stay organised – keep records, research new opportunities, and ensure we’re always meeting best practice and legal standards. Be a proud Roundabout ambassador – represent us at events and in the community, always spreading the word about our mission and impact. Other Duties Be happy to pitch in with any reasonable tasks asked by Senior Management or Fundraising Manager – we’re a team that supports each other. Always act in a way that reflects the values and mission of Roundabout – you’re representing something special. Build positive, professional relationships both inside and outside the charity – we’re all about kindness, respect, and working together. We value people who are trustworthy, creative problem-solvers, great communicators, and who care about making a difference. Be a real team player – collaborate with colleagues, supporters, and partners to get great results and keep things running smoothly. Be open to learning and growing – we’ll support your development with regular catch-ups and training opportunities. This job description gives a flavour of what’s involved, but isn’t set in stone and changes may occur if the Fundraising Team evolves.
