We are seeking an experienced and motivated HGV / MET Technician to join our professional technician team, providing additional resource to support operations.
Role Overview
As an HGV / MET Technician, you will play a vital role in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of commercial vehicles within our fleet management operation and HGV's. You'll be responsible for both mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring all vehicles are serviced / repaired to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out mechanical, electrical, and trim (MET) work on HGVs and LCVs within our commercial fleet.
Perform routine inspections, servicing, and diagnostics to ensure vehicle reliability and compliance.
Identify and rectify faults using modern diagnostic tools and technical documentation.
Carry out component replacements, repairs, and adjustments to manufacturer standards.
Support efficient fleet operations by minimising vehicle downtime and ensuring timely turnaround.
Maintain accurate job records, inspection sheets, and service documentation.
Uphold workshop cleanliness, safety, and compliance standards at all times.
Work collaboratively with service advisors, fleet coordinators, and management to deliver exceptional customer service.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience as an HGV Technician, MET Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Fitter.
Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills across a range of vehicle systems.
Relevant qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair).
Understanding of fleet maintenance requirements and compliance standards (e.g. DVSA).
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Positive attitude, strong teamwork, and reliable work ethic.
Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential).
