Autism Specialist Tutor – Croydon (SEN / Autism Support)
New Chapter Tuition is looking for a dedicated Autism Specialist Tutor to provide high-quality 1:1 educational support for autistic children and young people across Croydon.
This rewarding role involves delivering personalised, nurture-led learning sessions in community settings such as homes, libraries or learning hubs. You will support learners with EHCPs and additional needs, helping them build confidence, develop academic skills, and re-engage with education.

The Role
As an Autism Specialist Tutor, you will deliver 1:1 personalised support tailored to each learner’s strengths, needs, and learning goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering individual tutoring sessions for autistic learners
* Planning and adapting lessons in line with EHCPs and support plans
* Creating structured, calm, and sensory-aware learning environments
* Supporting emotional regulation, engagement, and confidence
* Monitoring progress and providing feedback to families, schools, and professionals
* Encouraging positive learning experiences and re-engagement with education
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
* Experience supporting autistic children or young people
* Knowledge of SEN support strategies and the UK curriculum
* Ability to adapt learning to individual needs
* A patient, empathetic, and reliable approach
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Confidence delivering learner-centred sessions in community settings
Location
This role involves working with learners across Croydon in settings such as homes, libraries, and local learning hubs.
