About the role
An exciting opportunity within the Children's Community Learning Disability Service in Fylde and Wyre for a Community Learning Disability Band 6 Nurse. The Service provides forward‑thinking, high‑quality services, working in partnership with other agencies and focuses on health promotion through service development and training initiatives. You will be part of an enthusiastic and experienced team.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical care to people with Learning Disabilities who have complex health needs, including the provision of positive behavioural support.
* Demonstrate evidence‑based and innovative practice.
* Collaborate with families, carers and other agencies to develop best practice and promote health.
* Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of health policy for people with Learning Disabilities.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Registered nurse with specialist experience in Learning Disabilities.
* Experience working with individuals who have complex needs and challenging behaviour.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills; adaptable, self‑motivated.
* Valid means of transport; willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
