Mobile Plumber Stoke-on-Trent £33,000 - £36,000 Job Overview We are seeking a qualified Mobile Plumber / Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established facilities maintenance team covering a portfolio of commercial sites across the West Midlands. This is a mobile role carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs), reactive repairs, fault finding, and general mechanical/plumbing maintenance across multiple buildings. Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections, and reactive repairs across multiple sites
* Diagnose faults and complete effective troubleshooting and repairs
* Maintain and repair plumbing and mechanical systems including pipework, drainage, water systems, pumps, tanks, and associated equipment
* Install, modify, and repair pipework systems including cutting, fitting, soldering, and brazing
* Conduct leak detection, system testing, calibration, and backflow prevention works
* Interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications to complete works accurately
* Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety regulations and site procedures
* Complete all service reports, maintenance records, and documentation accurately and on time
* Liaise professionally with clients, site contacts, and internal teams
* Participate in a 1 in 8 call-out rota
Requirements
* NVQ or City & Guilds in Plumbing & Heating / Mechanical Systems (essential)
* Ideally G3 Unvented qualification (or willingness to complete)
* Strong fault-finding and reactive maintenance skills
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Comfortable working across multiple sites independently
Package & Benefits
* £33,000 - £36,000 salary
* £125 standby allowance (1 in 8 call-out rota)
* Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
