Responsibilities
* Working as a Salaried GP in a traditional GP Surgery in Portsmouth with up to 8 sessions per week; one additional post may be available part time up to 5 sessions per week and a maximum of one home visit per day.
* Supportive practice with a modern, paper-light system using System One and a full nursing and support staff team to aid daily work.
* Replace a GP who is retiring; contribute to clinical and operational delivery within the practice.
* Participate in a structured rota with included admin slots in both AM and PM sessions.
* Engage with a team that provides services including asthma, diabetes and COPD clinics, travel vaccines, contraception clinics, and support for local students and the homeless population registered at the practice.
Requirements
* An experienced doctor with GP accreditation; current GMC registration and NHS performers list (no conditions preventing working or restrictions on practice).
* Experience in primary and urgent care settings; MRCGP or equivalent experience.
* Strong knowledge of QOF, LCS, DES, CQUINs and appropriate coding.
* Good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and negotiate; clear professional responsibility and accountability.
* Good clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis and management of acute primary care presentations.
* Fully qualified GP on a performers list with UK experience as a ST3 GP or higher; applications welcome from recently qualified GPs as well as experienced GPs.
