TM Scotland East Kilbride & Glasgow are pleased to be partnering with a new client based in Kilsyth to recruit an experienced Labourer/Forklift Driver/Waste Coordinator. This opportunity is offered on a temp to perm basis, with employment provided through Taskmaster.
Our client, a well-respected employee-owned business, is currently looking to add a reliable and proactiveLabourer / Forklift Driver / Waste Coordinatorto their team. This is a crucial support role covering both the machine shop and press shop, ensuring safe, clean, and efficient operations.
This is initially atemporary rolewith a genuine opportunity to becomepermanentfor the right candidate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Operate a forklift truck safely to load, unload, and transport materials
* Carry out general housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe working environment
* Segregate and manage metal waste such as swarf, bar ends, and cut-offs
* Liaise with waste contractors to coordinate skip collections and replacements
* Assist in managing minor spills and maintaining site waste compliance
* Contribute positively to a safe and efficient team environment
What we require for you to be considered:
* Valid Forklift Truck Licence(essential)
* Previous experience in awarehouse or industrial setting
* Knowledge or certification inHealth & Safety practices, particularly spill response, is highly desirable
* Strong organisation skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
* A hands-on, proactive, and safety-first attitude
