JOB TITLE: Vehicle Maintenance Technician
LOCATION: Petty Pool Vocational College, Pool Lane, Sandiway, Cheshire, CW8 2DR
REPORTS TO: Site Manager
SALARY: £4,626.44 per annum £12.71ph
HOURS: Saturday or Sunday (Flexible) - 7 hours per week - 7:30am - 3:30pm
DBS: Enhanced check required
Due to expansion, we are looking for a Vehicle Maintenance Technician to carry out light maintenance on a fleet of 16 vehicles. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the vehicles are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
Duties
* Alternating weeks: week one, inspect all vehicles. Week 2 and 3, vacuum and take all vehicles to the college car wash. On a rotating basis
* Operate car wash equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring that all vehicles receive thorough cleaning.
* Perform manual cleaning tasks, including washing, waxing, and vacuuming vehicles.
* Inspect vehicles for any damages or issues before and after the wash process.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the car wash area, including tools and supplies.
* Assist team members with inquiries or concerns regarding services offered.
* Drive vehicles safely within the premises as needed during the wash process.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Is reliable and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
* Has a strong attention to detail and can identify vehicle damage or maintenance concerns
* Is confident operating machinery safely and following procedures
* Understands and adheres to Health & Safety requirements at all times
* Is comfortable driving vehicles safely around site
* Works well independently and as part of a team
* Is organised and able to manage a rotating schedule of inspections and cleaning tasks
* Has a proactive attitude and is willing to support colleagues when needed
Previous experience in vehicle valeting, car wash operations or facilities support would be advantageous, but not essential — full training can be provided for the right candidate.
