A look into the role
The Commercial team in the Oxford works in the Private Capital space, across a number of sectors leading to a varied and interesting role. Key characteristics of the role include:
 1. Making quality second nature. The work that you will do has a major impact on our clients and our firm. We pride ourselves on the high-level standards and quality we expect from our people. 
 2. Growing the business. You will be expected to support Partners in BD activity and involvement in pitches to win work
 3. Own your own work. You will: oversee audit teams; be a key point of contact to our clients; assist audit partners in establishing audit approach; review audit work papers and ensure that audit files are completed in a timely manner
 4. Be a part of a team. You will be a part of a dynamic commercial audit team in Leeds Oxford. As well as people manager responsibilities and responsibility for a group of employees to ensure audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives, you will be a key player in creating the culture of the office and working across service lines to set the tone of the office.
 5. Take responsibility. We will empower you to act as a trusted business adviser to our clients. You will be responsible for managing a significant portfolio of clients and will always strive to build and maintain good working relationships with all colleagues and clients
 6. Build your brand. You will be expected to build your brand both internally and externally in the marketplace. You will have opportunities to develop yourself and others, driving your own development with the support of your people manager.

Joining us as an Audit Manager, the minimum criteria you’ll need is a professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA) with post qualification experience, and to be confident managing a large portfolio of audit clients. Specifically:
 7. Experience of managing audits of a range of commercial companies ranging from private equity backed and large listed and international groups.
 8. Be responsible for a large portfolio of audit clients
 9. Solve complex technical matters for our clients, and project manage client work
 10. Oversee and develop your team to the highest standard
 11. Build and maintain strong working relationship with your team and our clients
 12. Take opportunities for wider department responsibilities through training and pitching new projects
 13. Constantly strive to push yourself, and the business, further, knowing you’re supported through every stage
