As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the warehouse by receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching goods accurately and efficiently. You will ensure all stock is handled with care, maintain a tidy and safe working environment, and support the team in meeting daily targets. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Goods In: Receive, check, and unload deliveries, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good condition.
2. Stock Management: Store goods safely and accurately, maintaining correct stock levels and locations.
3. Order Picking: Accurately pick and pack orders according to company procedures and customer requirements.
4. Dispatch: Prepare and load goods for dispatch, ensuring timely and correct delivery to customers or other sites.
5. Inventory Checks: Carry out regular stock counts and report discrepancies.
6. Health and Safety: Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment, following all health and safety guidelines.
7. Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and forklifts (if trained and certified).
8. Documentation: Complete all relevant paperwork and update warehouse management systems as required.
9. Team Support: Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily warehouse targets and support other tasks as needed.
