Job Description:
We are seeking a Transport and Distribution Clerk and Assistant to support the growth of our service sales and deliver exceptional, client-focused support. The successful applicant must demonstrate a high level of professionalism in all client interactions, ensuring that our services are consistently delivered to meet and exceed client expectations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Schedule transportation services, plan routes, and assign drivers
* Process shipping documents, including bills of lading
* Monitor driver logs and assist with payroll administration
* Manage budgets, purchase orders, and payments
* Liaise with managers, drivers, and departments to optimise services
* Track and report order progress; handle customer queries and escalate issues
* Develop and implement transport policies and procedures
* Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies
Experience and Qualifications Requirement:
* Proven experience in freight, logistics, or transport administration
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Knowledge of transport regulations and documentation
* Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to multitask and work under pressur
* Team player with a flexible approach
